Amidst the rising demand for affordable urban housing, surplus vacant commercial spaces emerge as COVID-19 alters traditional office dynamics. Kyle House proposes the adaptive reuse of an underutilised building into a vertical community, seamlessly integrating residential and workspace functionalities. Kyle House and Macquarie Place, representations of Sydney’s past, underscore the urgent need for renewal to meet contemporary community needs.

Our objective is to rejuvenate the site, redefining its role in the modern urban landscape by utilising Designing with Country to propose a redevelopment that prioritises public accessibility, community engagement, offering innovative vertical living options while enhancing connectivity and public spaces throughout.
