“How has climate change affected your life?” The thesis delves into the overlooked dimension of the question by shedding light onto the frontline communities often disregarded with the “out of sight, out of mind” mentality. It highlights how their climate-induced predicaments are a matter of life and death, deserving of our attention as a humanity. Intervening in Tonle Sap River sub-basin, Cambodia, the research investigates the unsustainable manipulation of water resources in the Mekong at the expense of the environment. It proposes a framework to address resilient living for communities in resource-vulnerable environments, fostering economic prosperity alongside responsible environmental stewardship.
